Sarah L. Martin

Sarah L. Martin is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and also holds a Master of Public Administration from Tennessee State University. Prior to practicing law, Sarah worked in the nonprofit sector, advocating on behalf of victims and survivors of domestic violence and elder abuse and educating community members on intervention.

Sarah earned her law degree cum laude from Belmont University College of Law. There, she served as Executive Notes Editor of the Belmont Law Review and published an article, Evidence-Based, Constitutionally Sound Approaches to Reducing Gun Fatalities in Violent Relationships. She also participated in moot court and was nationally recognized for her brief-writing skills. As an attorney, Sarah has represented clients from all backgrounds in medical malpractice cases, with a focus on long-term care abuse and neglect. She has recovered millions for victims of corporate healthcare putting profits over people. But she is just as proud of her appellate work, which has improved the law for injured people seeking justice.

Sarah practices First Amendment law and speech defense, personal injury law, victims’ rights law, and appellate law.
